1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. Authentication is handled by our provider Supabase.
• Saved content. Places you mark as favorites and preferences you set in the app (such as language and temperature unit).
• Messages you send us. If you contact us for support, we keep your message and email address to reply.

Information collected automatically

• Approximate or precise location. With your permission, the App uses your device location to show local weather and nearby places and to center the map. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the App still works without it.
• Device and usage data. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language setting, and anonymous usage events used to keep the app stable and improve it.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13, and we do not collect contacts, photos, microphone, SMS, or call information.

• To provide core features: maps, directions, weather, search and audio guides.
• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To remember your favorites and preferences.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To monitor stability, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed:

• Supabase — authentication and secure storage of your account data and favorites.
• Weather provider — receives only your coordinates to return a local forecast, not your identity.
• Map and hosting providers — deliver map tiles and serve the app and website.
• Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the App.

These providers may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Location data is used in real time to serve results and is not stored as a location history. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access and correction. You can view and edit your preferences in the App.
• Location control. Turn location permission on or off at any time in your device settings.
• Account and data deletion. You can delete your account from within the App, or request deletion by emailing us (see below). Once verified, we will delete your personal data.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or similar laws, including the right to object to or restrict processing and to data portability.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and encrypted password storage to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the authorities of breaches where required by law.

8. Children's privacy

Kosovo Guide is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be announced in the App.
