1. Who we are

Kosovo Guide is an independent travel app made by Amar Braha in Kosovo. If you have any questions about your data, email amarbraha1@gmail.com.

2. Using the app as a guest

You can use Kosovo Guide without an account. Your favorites, language, theme and similar settings are saved only on your phone. The app also creates a random device code on your phone to stop spam reports; it does not identify you.

3. Your account

If you create an account, we store your name, email address and a securely encrypted password with Supabase, the service that hosts our database and sign-in. We use them only to sign you in, keep your favorites and show your name next to reviews you write. We never sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.

4. Reviews

Reviews you post (rating, comment, your name and the date) are visible to everyone who uses the app. You can edit or delete your reviews at any time.

5. Tour guide and accommodation applications

If you apply to list a tour or a place to stay, we store the details you enter (such as business name, contact name, email, phone, description, prices and photos) to check your application and, if it is approved, to publish the listing in the app.

6. Reports and feedback

When you send a problem report, we receive your message, your email if you add it, an optional photo, the screen or place it is about, the app version, your phone’s operating system, your app language and the random device code. Report photos are stored privately and only we can see them. When you report a review or block someone, we receive the review, the reason and the random device code.

7. Location

With your permission, the app uses your location on your phone to show nearby places, your position on the map and the local weather. For the weather, rounded coordinates are sent to the Norwegian Meteorological Institute (api.met.no). We do not store your location. You can turn location access off at any time in your phone’s settings.

8. Services the app connects to

To show content, the app loads data from Supabase (database and sign-in), OpenFreeMap with OpenStreetMap data (maps), Wikipedia (place summaries), api.met.no (weather) and a free exchange-rate service (currency converter). Like any website, these services receive technical data such as your IP address when the app loads content from them. The app has no ads from other companies, no analytics and no tracking.

9. Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and the favorites, reviews, applications and reports linked to it. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing amarbraha1@gmail.com. Uninstalling the app removes everything saved on your phone.

10. Children

Kosovo Guide is a general travel app and is not directed at children under 13.

11. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
